About Africa Guiding
Africa Guiding is an independent website that helps travelers plan African safaris with clear, practical, honest information.
What we do
We publish planning guides on the questions that matter most before a safari: when to go, where the wildlife will be, which safari style suits you, how to prepare for gorilla trekking, what to pack and how to look after your health. We aim to answer each question directly, then give the detail and trade-offs.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell tours, book lodges or issue gorilla permits.
- We don’t publish fake reviews, ratings or testimonials.
- We don’t quote prices as if they were offers. Park fees, permits and lodge rates change, so we point you to official sources instead.
- We don’t give medical advice. Our health guide explains what to ask a travel clinician and links to the CDC and WHO.
How we research
Our guides draw on official sources — national park and wildlife authorities, the CDC and WHO, and government travel advisories — along with widely documented seasonal patterns. Wildlife and weather vary year to year, so we describe typical patterns and say so clearly.
